Functional Limitations of the Atlassian Jira Connector for Tasktop Dev

Last Updated: Sep 27, 2016 11:30AM PDT
Description and Comment fields in JIRA are assumed to contain Confluence wiki markup regardless of the configured renderer.

The JIRA connector does not support legacy mode time tracking. Legacy mode restricts writing the Original Estimate field when work has already been logged on an issue, yet the JIRA API does not report when that field is read-only. This could cause some unexpected behaviour when attempting to submit changes to the Original Estimate field.

The following JIRA custom field types are not supported by the connector:
   URL Field
   Group Picker (multiple groups)
   Group Picker (single group)
   Hidden Job Switch
   Job Checkbox
   User Picker (multiple users)

JIRA 5.0 occasionally fails with a 500 error when listing labels. This error can usually be fixed by logging in to the JIRA administrative UI, performing an integrity check (fix any errors), and then running the reindexing utility.

Links between Epics and Issues are not supported.

Custom transitions and transitions that change the issue type are not supported. Only status transitions are supported.

There is no UI support for entering mentions, but you can enter them using Confluence markup as [~username].
